PAD LEVEL

All Offensive and Defensive Lineman must maintain a low center of gravity while also applying proper techniques for each position. Many lineman struggle with keeping their pad level down because bending properly is a learned muscle memory behavior. The old saying is that the “low-man wins.”
Hip Flexibility

FLEXIBILITY

Most lineman struggle with being flexible enough to move and be able to perform from their HIPS and is big complaint among coaches at EVERY level. We work on bending and being flexible at every session. We must be able to get in the proper STANCE to even have a chance at competing in the trenches. “WE MUST BEND TO WIN”

HAND PLACEMENT

Every lineman must learn how to get their hands inside and use them in different scenarios to be successful against their opponent. Lineman must be able to have quick and violent hand placement on both sides of the football to gain control on their opponent and win the battle each play. Lineman must also know how to adjust their punch and time it for success.
